Baltic Schools Among Top Winners in Educational EU Initiative

“eTwinning,” a very ambitious educational initiative created by the European Union , has brought together 50,000 schools from across Europe. In collaboration with the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Program, eTwinning is giving schools the means to collaborate with other schools in other countries. Since the program’s inception in 2005, an annual conference awards prizes to schools that submit a project demonstrating innovation, collaboration, and integration of curriculum. With over 500 entries this year, the top ten finalists were chosen from forty schools coming from 21 different countries. The Baltic States Latvia and Lithuania were among the first four category winners to be awarded a trip to the eTwinning camp in Greece.
