Welsh Translator ‘Out of the Office’

Driving through Wales in the city of Swansea, you may come across a peculiar traffic sign informing drivers “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated.” This goof occurred when an office worker at the Swansea council emailed a coworker for the correct translation of: “No entry for heavy goods vehicles. Residential site only.” Needless to say, the automatic out of office response was mistaken for a Welsh translation. Examples such as these can often times provide people with a good laugh, but they also exemplify the need for authentic and professional translation services. Errors such as these, that are viewed in public, can often translate into embarrassment for the country.
