Of all the dubbing styles available, lip-synching is by far the most complex. Timing of the translation, voice-over talent’s accent and experience, on-the-fly script editing to match the lips, and proficiency of the audio technician are all demands that increase the cost per finished minute. For these reasons, while everyone can do off-camera voice-over with little or no trouble, localizing role plays using lip-synching require a dedicated team only available from the most seasoned foreign language companies.
