Multilingual Training Localization for a Global Oilfield Services Provider
A leading global oilfield services organization approached Omni to translate and localize a large-scale web-based training program for its Spanish-speaking workforce across Latin America.
The training library covered multiple rig-based roles, from Roustabout through to supervisory positions, and represented more than 35 hours of technical training content. The project involved the localization of thousands of multimedia assets, including eLearning modules, audio recordings, graphics, and supporting course files.
In total, approximately 17,800 Flash files, 25,200 audio files, and 400 XML files needed to be localized, recorded, and processed to produce an eLearning library usable by Spanish-speaking employees.
The challenge was far broader than translation alone, including:
